Do You Know Where
Your Riders Are?
OFF-GRID  |  MESH RADIO  |  NO CELL REQUIRED
Our Mission

Convoy Coordination.
Without the Network.

GroupTrack keeps your group connected when cell service disappears. Built on Meshtastic’s low-power LoRa mesh radio technology, every rider in your convoy can see every other rider’s position in real time — no towers, no data plan, no excuses.

Whether you’re leading a UTV convoy through the canyon country of southern Utah, coordinating a group trail ride in the backcountry, or managing search and rescue operations in a dead zone — GroupTrack gives your group the situational awareness it needs to stay safe, stay together, and stay on track.

Pre-download your maps. Configure your radios. Head out. GroupTrack does the rest.

📷
Real-Time Position
See every rider on a live map. Updated every few seconds over the mesh.
📡
No Cell Required
Radio-to-radio transmission up to 10 miles per hop. Each device automatically relays for others — the more riders in your convoy, the greater your range.
🌍
Offline Maps
Pre-download your riding area before you leave. Full map tiles stored on device. Works with zero connectivity in the field.
🔒
Encrypted Mesh
Private channel with PSK encryption. Only your group sees your group.
What It Does

Built for the Trail.

Every feature in GroupTrack was designed for real-world off-grid use — by riders, for riders.

📍
Live Convoy Map
See your entire group on an interactive map in real time. Color-coded by rider position in the convoy. Never lose track of who’s ahead or behind.
🌐
Offline Map Downloads
Search for your trail area, draw your download zone, and cache map tiles before you leave. Satellite, topo, hybrid, and road layers all work offline.
🔋
Self-Extending Mesh
Powered by Meshtastic LoRa radio. Each device transmits up to 10 miles and automatically relays for other nodes. The more riders you have, the farther your network reaches.
📄
Ride Management
Organizers create rides, set radio configs, and invite riders with a single link. Riders tap the link, download the ride, and go. Zero technical setup required.
🏭
GPS Track Recording
Record your ride track with one tap. Pause, resume, and save. Export as KML for Google Earth or share with the group after the ride.
One-Boot Radio Config
Set channel, frequency, PSK, and device settings from the app. Apply with one tap. Radio reboots configured and ready to mesh in under 60 seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got Questions?

Everything you need to know about GroupTrack before heading out on the trail.

No — GroupTrack works entirely over LoRa mesh radio. There is no cellular or internet requirement in the field. Each rider’s Meshtastic radio communicates directly with nearby radios, and each radio automatically relays signals for others in the mesh. You do need an internet connection to initially download the app and pre-download your offline map tiles before the ride.
Each rider needs an Android device (the WXUNJA 11” tablet is our best value pick at $85 — 28GB RAM, 128GB storage, includes protective cover) and a Meshtastic-compatible LoRa radio. The SenseCAP T1000-E is our recommended radio — compact, weatherproof, and long battery life. Any Meshtastic device running firmware 2.6 or later will work. The radio pairs to the Android device via Bluetooth. Both tablets and radios are available through Amazon.com.
Each radio transmits up to 10 miles per hop in open terrain. Because every device in the mesh automatically relays signals for others, the effective range of your convoy network grows with every rider you add. A 10-vehicle convoy can maintain connectivity across distances far greater than any single radio hop.
Before your ride, search for your trail area in the app, draw a rectangle over the zone you want to cache, and tap Download. The app downloads map tiles for that area at all zoom levels and stores them on your device. Once downloaded, the map works with WiFi and cell completely off. Satellite, topographic, hybrid, and road map layers are all supported.
GroupTrack V2.4 is currently in authorized beta testing on Android. Contact us at [email protected] to request access. The organizer will send you the APK file and installation instructions. A Google Play Store release and iOS version are planned for V3.0.
Yes. GroupTrack uses encrypted LoRa channels with a private pre-shared key (PSK). Only devices configured with the same channel name and PSK can see your position. No data is sent to any server during a ride — everything stays on the local mesh network between your group’s radios.
